From time to time I spot copy that I love. This week, I have revisited the glorious Euphorium Bakery. They offer delicious treats, sumptuous cheesecakes, delicate pastries, soft breads and delightful sweets. If that wasn't enough to tempt you in, they make a darn good job of their copy. Hook, line and sinker - I'm sold.
For those not familiar, Euphorium Bakery started in Islington, N1 and has now expanded at an impressive rate to several outlets across London. Their delectable cakes and dessert sare no doubt the reason for their success but their choice of copy is certainly also a contributing factor to rapid expansion and rising customer base. They don't just know good dessert, they know good copy.
This carry box is different from other cake boxes with it's 'does exactly what it says on the tin' attitude. As you can see from the photo, it's cheeky and real copy is true also - it didn't protect from a 'sneaky bite due to unbridled enthusiasm'! (Blueberry cheesecake in case you were wondering).
The copy manages to be bright and informal whilst retaining a formality and eloquence that is part of their branding and image. It affirms, entices and delights: leaving you wanting to taste the tempting contents but crucially making Euphorium Bakery memorable. Tone-of-voice spot on.
Just as good is the sticker inside, to keep said cake from sliding around: 'Carpe Diem, chop chop' it orders, as if you needed any encouragement.
And seize the day I did. Delicious cheesecake and delicious copy.
